2018 starts with a bang

We couldn’t be more pleased to let you know that we have received an impressive three nominations at this year’s Transform Awards.

Over the last nine years, the Transform Awards have celebrated excellence across brand development, reputation management and rebranding. They reward the most innovative, creative and successful brand work across Europe. Submission to the awards continue to grow year on year, and organisers commented that the calibre of entries this year had been outstanding.

“The judging was extremely thorough so this year has been very competitive. It is absolutely fantastic to see rbl reach the shortlist in three separate categories with both clients entered.”
– Andrew Thomas, Transform Awards

This year, our work with the University of Greenwich has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Visual Identity in the Education Sector’ category, and our work with World Sailing in the ‘Best Brand Development Project to Reflect Changed Mission, Values or Positioning’ and in the ‘Best Brand Consolidation’ categories.

University of Greenwich
– Best Visual Identity in the Education Sector

As one of the most diverse and inclusive higher education institutions in the world, the University of Greenwich knew it needed to re-engage with students, staff and partners to better articulate how it adds value, beyond its location on a celebrated heritage site. Putting students at the heart of the process, rbl helped craft a new, clear messaging platform and reaffirmed the University’s strategic priorities. This was then rolled out into a flexible new brand identity that reflects the University’s inclusivity, creativity and ambition.

World Sailing
– Best Brand Development Project to Reflect Changed Mission, Values or Positioning
– Best Brand Consolidation

Sailing is loved by amateurs and professionals the world over for its unique combination of competitive action, advanced technology and the sheer power of the natural environment. As the world governing body for the sport, World Sailing wanted to better explain this unique relationship: sport, nature and technology in powerful harmony. To support this new messaging, rbl introduced a bolder colour palette, more accessible typography and dynamic ‘sheet’ lines to give World Sailing greater flexibility across both digital and traditional platforms. This refreshed identity required extensive guidelines and a broad brand architecture to encompass every competitive event owned by World Sailing, including the World Championships for all classes.

The awards will be announced on the 26th March, so watch this space…
