A group of ten 10 and 11 year olds visited rbl this week to learn more about what we do as part of their Careers Week. They were there to explore real-world businesses and talk to professionals about the jobs they could have in different sectors.
We were approached by The Arc School in Napton (an independent day school for children struggling with social, emotional and behavioural problems) to see if we could visit their school and talk to pupils.
Instead, we offered a visit to our new offices, giving them a quick tour of our design studio. Our Lead Creative, Andy, then gave a short and interactive presentation about a day in the life of a designer and the work we do as an agency.
The children enjoyed identifying well-known brands in a quiz and spotted the difference between a value and premium brand. They even watched Andy create a poster design. However, truth be told, they were mainly interested in all the Apple Macs and whether we did any work for Xbox. It rather gives you an insight into the priorities of ten year olds!
