This week, our very own Head of Brand, Rebecca, spoke at the House of Lords at the annual LAPADA conference.
LAPADA is the largest society of professional art and antiques dealers in the UK. It hosts an annual conference for their international membership, which delivers inspirational insight into the business context they work in. Now in its 7th year, the conference always welcomes a broad selection of world-class speakers to engage and inspire members. This year it was Rebecca’s turn to join the all-star line-up.
Rebecca Davies, LAPADA’s Chief Executive, was looking for an expert to engage audiences on the subject of brand. With 550 members worldwide, spanning small art dealerships and professional interior design experts, all formally endorsed by LAPADA, it is important that members understand the importance of brand and marketing to their business.
Entitled ‘Who Do You Think You Are?”, Rebecca’s slick, insightful presentation focused on relevant, practical guidance. Using a series of supporting case studies, including her own story as a small business owner, she challenged perceptions and helped the audience think in terms of brand, not just business. The aim: to inspire and empower every member, no matter their size, budget or speciality, to review, refine and develop their brand.
The day was a huge success, in an incredible setting. Thanks goes to LAPADA for inviting Rebecca to share her expertise. It seems she was quite a hit!
Some of the sentiments shared since the event:
“Ms Battman – your presentation was excellent”
@MissVC – Brand Ambassador, Clive Christian
“Rebecca, your talk was so interesting and extremely relevant to small arts businesses which makes a huge difference from usual communications talks I go to where they are aiming at businesses of 1000 or more employees. Your advice was so useful and achievable. We are going to take a long hard look at what we are doing and what we can improve in terms of our brand/marketing approach”
